I really enjoyed our townhome for the years we lived in it. I loved the pool area and having a fitness center and dance studio.... The location was pretty convenient. However, we had some truly awful neighbors move in, and Lafayette didn't help us effectively resolve the noise problem. Lafayette chose to nickel and dime us when we moved out instead of enforcing actual policies from their handbook such as number of pool guests and number of pets you're allowed to have. Wonderful apartments, amenities with great management!
Lafayette is one of the best rental properties we have stayed in. The apartment layouts are great with good quality materials... and finishes. The amenities are top notch with a hot tub and sauna great for those long Wisconsin winters. The gym has a good amount of equipment including a squat rack and free weights that go up to 70lbs. The management is wonderful with Bridget and her team always responsive to residents' needs, and they have monthly events and contests to bring a more communal feel. The location is great and only 10 min to downtown Madison. There are plenty of trails around the area and it is nice and quiet. There is a train track for a local freight train that is loud when it is there but only runs twice during the warmer seasons and not at all during the winter. Overall, a five-star experience. We were sad to leave Lafayette when we had to move out of state but will definitely choose it again if we ever move back to Madison! Bridget is an outstanding director who truly cares about the experiences of residents. She is always understanding and quick... to help resolve issues that might come up. Her leadership helps set the tone for staff who are all very friendly and maintain a safe and inclusive environment for residents. I've been renting in Madison since 2013 and living in Lafayette townhomes has been the best overall experience I've had. The maintenance team is very professional and timely. The offered amenities are the best in the area and staff have events throughout the year for residents. This location is kid friendly and there are parks and trails all around the area. Everything is great at the location. The only thing I'd like to see is the usage of all amenities including the sauna. ... Since that is understandably closed due to the circumstances, a credit to the accounts or a discounted rate of rent would be nice since the reason I selected this complex when it opened was the sauna as all other complexes were similar. Just wondering when garage openers will become available. I think everyone tends to park outside because of this and sometimes,... it's tough to find a spot in the actual lot. And then the one recommendation I have - have you guys considered a dog wash? A little tub somewhere that is accessible to everyone would be awesome IMO, especially with how many owners there are. Overall the coolest and nicest apartment I've had the opportunity to live in! Spacious, modern, and a nice young professional environment to live in; everyone I've met has been quite friendly.
